- You’ll receive email/SMS* notifications from Royal Mail (*if you’ve signed up to receive them) with updates on your order. Royal Mail will let you know when your order is ready to collect.

To collect your parcel at your selected Post Office® branch, you'll need to bring your tracking number and identification in the name of the person the parcel is addressed to. This can be:
- Cheque guarantee/credit/debit card
- Bank/building society book
- Valid passport
- Cheque book
- Driving licence
- Photo Identity Card (Foreign National, Military, Police Warrant, Royal Mail Employee)
- Under 18s ID card (National Insurance Card, Medical Card or Savings Book).

I've chosen Post Office® Local Collect as my delivery service. Who will deliver my parcel?
Royal Mail will deliver your parcel to the Post Office® branch you selected at checkout.
Upon delivery, Royal Mail will send you an SMS text or email based on the contact preferences you selected when you placed your order. Alternatively, you can check progress of your item at Royal Mail's website and enter your parcel tracking number.
Your tracking number can be found in 'Your Order is on its way' email.
Are there any areas in the UK where Post Office® Local Collect is unavailable?
Post Office® Local Collect is available to 10,500 Post Office branches across the UK. Post Office® Local Collect isn't available as a delivery service to the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
What happens if I've forgotten to collect my Post Office® Local Collect parcel?
Your parcel will be held by your local Post Office® branch for 18 calendar days before being returned to us. Once we receive your parcel, you'll be refunded back to your original payment method. The refund can take up to 10 working days to reach your bank account (depending on who you bank with).
Can I cancel the collection of my order from my local Post Office® branch?
No. Once an order has been despatched, it will be sent directly to the Post Office® branch you selected. If you don't, or forget to, collect your order, your Post Office® branch will hold on to the parcel for 18 days before sending it back to us for a refund.
Why do I need to provide an email address or phone number for Post Office® Local Collect?
You'll need to provide your email and phone number so that Royal Mail can contact you to let you know when your order has been delivered at your selected Post Office® branch.
Can someone collect my Post Office® Local Collect on my behalf?
Yes. To collect the parcel, they must bring to the Post Office® branch their own proof of identification along with the parcel tracking number and identification in the name of the person the parcel is addressed to. This can be:
- Cheque guarantee/credit/debit card
- Bank/building society book
- Valid passport
- Cheque book
- Driving licence
- Photo Identity Card (Foreign National, Military, Police Warrant, Royal Mail Employee)
- Under 18s ID (National Insurance Card, Medical Card or Savings Book).
